Quality Initiative Overview
Statement of Purpose:
At FRG, we are committed to maintaining and pursuing the highest level of quality for the radiologic care of our patients. Our employees and associates make quality of care their highest priority as they carry out their respective Foundation and patient care responsibilities.
General Overview:
We follow a stringent Quality Control process, with ongoing communication and review points throughout. The following are key pieces of our Quality Control process. Click the links below to learn more about each piece.
- Non-random review procedures are iniatiated as soon as quality issues are discovered.
- Radiology Care Quality forms are used for items outside of the reading radiologist’s domain.
- Random Reviews are mandated by our Quality Control Panel.
- QC Reviews allow radiologists to comment on Quality Issues that center around the production of a particular radiology study.
- All addendums are monitored and evaluated for possible significant patient care issues.
- The Quality Control Panel meets weekly to discuss and categorize quality review data.
- The Chief Medical Officer of Foundation Radiology Group serves as the liason to the hospital’s QA Governing Board.
- Yearly reviews are provided by legal counsel.
- All data is entered into the QA system through an anonymous numbering system.
- We are continually developing and enhancing our rapid response team approach to quality issues.
